Crisp Wireless, a New York City-based provider of mobile content management and advertisement solutions to the media and entertainment industry, seeks to recruit a senior network engineer.
Position Summary
Reporting to the VP of Managed Services, the Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for maintenance and management of our mission critical, 24x7 hosted solutions in an offsite data centers. Given the start-up nature of our business, the successful candidate must be willing and capable of wearing multiple hats and handling everything from infrastructure architecture and security to software services configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
• Manage Hosting Operations within the Crisp co-located data centers, with responsibility for contracted and internally agreed SLAs for Crisp’s customers
• Participate in product deployments, upgrades and maintenance
• Configure and manage performance monitoring tools and notification/alerting services
• Support and manage backup system
• Manage corporate email server
• Manage the customer support ticketing systems and communicate to customers about scheduled maintenance activities
• Perform network infrastructure maintenance and support, manage network equipment including Cisco switches, routers and firewalls
• Perform server maintenance and support (hardware and software)
Skills and Qualifications
• BSCS, BSEE is required
• Must have 5+ years of similar experience working for a software company that delivers its solutions on hosted ASP basis
• 3+ years Microsoft Exchange Server administration experience
• Experience in data center management
• In depth knowledge of data communications and Internet protocols
• Experience with configuring and using all common network components like load balancers, firewalls and routers.
• Experience with most common server hardware platforms.
• Formal process design and implementation experience
• Strong Linux (CentOS) and Windows system administration experience
• Experience with Microsoft SQL is plus
• Experience with VMWare is a plus
